I feel like it all makes sense to me. The only person I couldn't tell the origin of is Savitar, but that will be revealed in the next 3 episodes.
great outfit really liked this scene personally i really liked the last few minutes, i thought it was a good reveal.
not sure how much I care for Savitar, especially it being weird time remnant future Barry. Feels like it being one of his "creations" should create a lot more emotional turmoil than it is.
I have no idea where Julian was, I didn't even realise he wasn't there lol My prediction is HR or another character used the face transformation technology from Earth 19 to turn into Iris at the end of tonight's ep
I have to say the Savitar story has been very spotty, but this was a strong episode. Barry and Captain Cold was awesome, and the final scene I thought was very well done.
I thought about this too, but was trying to think of when the switch would have occurred because Savitar got her from Earth 2 and she was hanging there dancing with her dad and what not.
I fell asleep right after so my memory is foggy but did the killer frost vibe fight end? & if the finale is barry goes to a different timeline or earth I'll be mad. He/we need to learn more about the speedforce /what this life Means in the finale. In beginning of season Jay said don't mess with events and time, all season he does the opposite.
I think this my be my favorite episode of the season. Considering the cliff hanger if this episode, it totally could've been the season finale. Wondering what the cliffhanger of the season will be
For someone who's seen the future, Barry sure doesn't act like it. "I've been to a future where Cisco loses his hands in a fight with Killer Frost in the woods and also isn't there to help me with Savitar, I should totally send Cisco to fight Killer Frost in the woods while I go and fight Savitar." I'm thinking maybe that the resolution will involve Barry refusing to trap Savitar in the Speed Force or refusing to make time remnants to fight him or something like that. Paradox him out of existence or whatever, which will also bring Iris back or something. But who knows with this show.
I fell off on this show during the Grodd story. Is Barry still screwing with the timeline? Is Iris probably really dead? If I adore every iteration of Killer Frost without reservation, will I enjoy Caitlin's story in the back end of the season? Savitar being a time remnant (did I hear that right?) sounds cool to me, honestly, though that reveal should've happened a long time ago. Like, at the midseason finale even. Also, if Iris is really gone, that'll be enough for me to not catch up. Though, again, I do really like Killer Frost a lot, lol.
Killer Frost is awesome. the story of savitar is interesting, was just too drawn out with the reveal, should have been earlier. I loved the Grodd stuff haha. Barry is more being scolded for screwing the timeline, by Diggle's wife even. I think overall this season has been really strong and is better than season 2 personally. the savitar story wasn't the strongest but they kept it in the background enough for me.
so I definitely think they fleshed out Savitar a little more this episode. Killer Frost having some Caitlin moments was nice as well. Really curious how they will finish out the season now that Iris is "dead." Pretty emotional episode overall, poor Joe.
yeah, this furthers more my wish that they revealed it so much sooner in the season. could have done some really interesting character development in the back half of the season.
For sure, Jesse L. Martin is fantastic, and is really one of the more well rounded actors on the show. Too bad we only caught a small glimpse of him after the fall out of Iris in the future Barry episode.
I also really didn't give much thought while watching, that H.R. could've done a switcheroo and sacrificed himself as Iris.. Now it seems completely plausible, with there being a new H.R. each season.
Yea that's definitely what happened. I didn't think of that when watching but now that it's brought up - definitely what happened
see, again, I think it's a possibility, but if it is, I'm interested to see when the switch happened. because HR felt guilty after she was already taken, she was taken on earth 2, where she was hanging out with her dad talking about the past, singing, dancing. so when did they switch. then I was like, maybe it was HR on earth 2 the whole time, but, how she was with Joe kind of negates that, and if that were the case, then HR on earth 1 at the time would be Iris pretending to be HR which would make her complicit in sending savitar to earth 2 where HR (as Iris) gets kidnapped...
For sure, but recall that Barry couldn't know anything. Could've just been how it was written to not give anything fully away at the expense of Barry finding out. Also could've been Joe, and would explain why Joe on the rooftop wasn't able to act on the shot. Who knows? We will hopefully find out next week.
The only way the H.R. theory makes sense is if they switched prior to Joe, Wally, and Iris going to Earth-2. But even then, why would Iris-as-H.R. go on that rant about feeling bad? Also, I don't know, H.R. still felt so quintessentially H.R. in that scene, it didn't feel like someone pretending to be H.R. The Joe switch makes more sense from a logic standpoint, at least based on what we know now. Although if it was Joe that switched places with Iris and he's dead now, oh boy, we riot.
yeah, logic is flawed for sure, but that hasn't stopped the writers before. Just a lot of clues dropped. Will say that the showrunners usually find a way to surprise us. Just hoping next season, they use a villain that isn't a speedster.
