Admittedly, I don't watch, but haven't they just kept adding archers, good and bad? Like, isn't Prometheus an archer? The shows are just getting way too formulaic.
I am not caught up on Arrow yet. Getting close though. Either way, irrelevant. The Flash is its own show. If there is a problem with Arrow it does not mean Flash needs to do it too. My only hope is that they will deal with this one quickly and not have him be the big bad the rest of the season, though the way he is introduced points to him being a major player. I mean, I still enjoy the show, but they NEED a main baddie for a season that is not a speedster. At least this one wasn't a mentor for Barry, as far as we know. Sigh.
Fair enough. I will say though, there is going to be AT LEAST one more. Black Racer is is likely to be the biggest bad of them all when he is introduced. Though, this guy seems like he could potentially be pulling from BR. I'm sure they'll hold off on him, but he'll definitely be happening at some point.
That's fine. But they need to spread them out. My problem isn't a bad speedster, it's that every season so far has had one as the main baddie. This season had been doing just fine without one up until last night. I don't see why the main baddie NEEDS to be a bad speedster. Have one be just a villain of the week or as a minion to a bigger baddie. They need to change it up.
I will agree, I was hoping it wouldn't be another speedster, I would like the main villains in a season to just be the big group of The Rogues, maybe season 4 since they've brought it more of them.
Episode was really good with juggling Wally's and Caitlin's storylines. I got really emotional for both of them.
And the Rogues need to have a proper team-up. Even if they aren't a full season-length antagonist, they deserve at least a several episode arc.
Man I love the Flash. Definitely the best of the CW verse shows. Really dug this weeks episode. Savitar looks dope.. Stoked for Wally to have powers. Alchemy is interesting. Caitlin's arc is sad, but awesome. Can't wait to see where this season goes.
We're not supposed to know who/what Savitar is yet, right? Unless I missed something, his appearance came out of nowhere and made little sense. Is he working with Alchemy? Kind of a bummer we're getting yet another speedster villain, but I'm slightly optimistic.
With the show bringing in Savitar as the villain, and giving both Wally and Jesse Quick their speed powers, I think the second half of the season might end up being a loose adaption of Geoff John's Flash: Rebirth.
I thought it was awesome how they portrayed Savitar being so fast only Barry could see him and barely at that.
wasnt too into this one. at least barry is suffering consequences and the response from everyone else makes sense. kinda dumb that julian was alchemy after all, but w/e
I'm not too annoyed with this. it's not like he's a mentor of barry that is seeded throughout the whole season only to be revealed as a villain. we are only 7 episodes in and he doesn't appear to be revealed as a straight villain either. I feel like at the very least he's a reluctant villain and servant to the god of speed, if not perhaps a Jekyll and Hyde type thing.
Yeah I'm bored with the speedster villain of the season thing. Again. This show is really heading towards Arrow territory. I did enjoy the last episode a lot tho, despite the Alchemy reveal as obvious as it was. Highlight of this season has been Killer Frost for sure.
I thought the opening sequence with Savitar beating the shit out of Barry was cool, even though the low VFX budget makes it look goofy. Meh on the Alchemy reveal.
Wasn't a huge fan of last night's episode. But I'm also too lazy to retype all of my thoughts so I'll just link to my review hah. 'The Flash S03E07: Killer Frost' Review | Comic Book Blog | Talking Comics
Really great dialogue in this episode. I loved everything up until the very obvious reveal haha. This show just is not good at twists.
And yet it's good enough at laughs and tears to hold out hope to throw another one in there. He probably thought he would fulfill his promise to get barry gone, he was done with Salvador. That obviously is wrong lol. But man this was a great episode.
Idk I loved this episode. Alchemy reveal is dumb, but I also thinks it's hilarious since Alchemy's comic presence is heavily tied to the philosophers stone. Killer Frost was great and the emotional ties in this episode were so well done, I just hope they keep up the quality through the whole season this time.
Seems like I'm the only one who isn't feeling the Killer Frost stuff as much. I think the Killer Frost from the previous timeline was much more believable. But, I'm glad they didn't do a "once Killer Frost, always Killer Frost" type thing this episode. I think it'll grow on me more as they pursue it, though.
