    I was right. Prestigious

Also I wonder if the time wraiths will ever be mentioned again or was that just a one time deus ex machina

He did. I could really picture him playing the adult version of Malfoy from The Cursed Child during this episode. Haha

It's likely we see The Black Racer instead. He's basically death for speed force users.

I hope there's a scene with Malfoy and the dement... uhhhh... I mean wraiths.

So Barry was originally in Timeline 1, then went back to save his mother and created Timeline 2, then went back again and created Timeline 3. So theoretically Timeline 1 still exists and he can still get back to it?

I really hope we don't have 10 episodes now of this timeline only to go back to the original one. The consequences of Flashpoint should remain for the rest of the show's life.

I'm pretty sure the showrunners say the changes will affect the rest of the show. and with the whole speech from Jay in 1998, I think Barry won't be messing with any timelines any time soon.

no, timeline 1 no longer exists and it is impossible to recreate it exactly

So.... this means the whole CW-DC Universe now exists in timeline 3 right?

I feel like this show will do anything to not let Barry and Iris be together lol

Part of me is glad because Oliver and Felicity ruined Arrow.

I do agree that the Ollicity stuff really drags that show down. When they focus on Green Arrow it's very strong. I like felicity as part of the team, just don't need a romantic factor between the two of them.

As for Barry and Iris though, I don't mind the romantic stuff between them and I like when they have those moments of her being his "constant" because Barry and Iris is such a staple of Flash comics and that character. Having said that, if they do move toward them being together, best thing they can do it just let them be together. the constant on and off and drama between Oliver and Felicity is what drove me nuts about them. If they got together but then were just together and worked as the team still and didn't have this heavy focus on them over everything else, I may not have minded it as much.

I agree with all of this. The Soap drama type stuff is what drives these shows though so I'm almost convinced the on and off stuff will go on forever until the show ends. Almost like how Clark couldn't become Superman until the very last ep of Smallville.

The problem with Arrow wasn't Olicity. The problem with Arrow was bad writing. Good superhero stories with romance happen all the time.

I really don't like the idea of teasing Barry and Iris for three straight seasons without any payoff. This show could do good things with them as a couple, as long as it didn't get lost in constant weird soapy drama. Plus, a wedding episode in this series with this cast would be beautiful. I can see the tearful Joe speech to Barry and the big CW-verse celebration now.

  20. That 2nd episode was much better. Loved it all throughout and it took me a while to figure out who the actor playing Barry's new partner was haha

yeah definitely. that's what I was kind of trying to say in how if they just pursued that storyline it's one thing, and if they didn't constantly put their drama at the forefront and forget what the show is actually about, it could have been better. The show is so uneven, and doesn't commit to a direction. Guggi's gotta go

Haha, I hated Olicity so much. It made me not like Felicity at all. I cringed every time she was on screen. Her life revolved around Oliver and she was crying and whining so much and it made me disappointed. They ruined her character. I'm not sure whey they took that route to writing them. It's not like I would hate having couples at all, but admittedly it's my least favorite part of these shows. I miss Roy and Thea more than anything honestly. I think they were great together. But I'm glad Olicity is over - both Oliver and Felicity already seem so much better this season. I hope it continues.

As for Barry and Iris, I definitely like them but man the writers just keep going back and forth with them. And I would like for this timeline to stick. As @mad said there's so much opportunity here, not only with Barry/Iris, but with Cisco, Wally and Caitlin developing their powers as well. It would be cool to see Vibe be The Flash's sidekick.

    So assuming that this weekend...

Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Shantel Vansanten, and Teddy Sears have all been announced for Stan Lee's Los Angeles Comic Con at the end of the month. I'm trying to figure out who I want to drop my money on to get a photo with.
