The crossover is, I think, right around the time of the mid season break. Probably the week before each show's mid season finale? I think that's what they did last year. It's definitely not starting with the first episode of Supergirl S2, lol. That's gonna introduce Superman, which I'm excited for.
oh true that makes sense, I didn't think it was next week at first but in the upcoming scenes from next weeks flash it showed felicity talking to barry about flashpoint and so I was like oh maybe it is next week and flashpoint is how they bring in Supergirl. I wonder if Supergirl will remain it's own earth or if it will somehow mesh into the same earth as the other shows because ya know, comics, it could happen haha.
I'm confused, why are people reacting like "Oh, that's it, he fixed the timeline, they're done with Flashpoint" when I thought Joe and Iris not talking made it pretty clear that things still aren't completely back to normal?
They're clearly changed, but probably not in big ways like in "Flashpoint," and seemingly not in a way that can be fixed with further time travel. I hope Barry learns he can't undo time, both literally and figuratively, and just has to work within the timeline he's in to make amends. Would be a nice comic-book-y take on the idea that you have to accept your mistakes and look forward instead of backward.
I enjoyed it but at times it was a little too direct with the dialogue. But I will save more of my thoughts for the review I'll be writing up today!
And here's my review for last night's episode if anyone is interested: 'The Flash: S3E01 Flashpoint' Review | Comic Book Blog | Talking Comics
I was iffy with the ending until the slight twist. Still, I was disappointed. Idk. Maybe I'm still coming off the high of Westworld/Luke Cage and don't wanna watch anything else right now.
I liked the episode, but it felt kind of rushed. I'd rather they would have spent a few episodes in the "real" Flashpoint before heading back to the (almost) original timeline.
Finished S2 and really enjoyed it! Still confused by some things but it actually wasn't as confusing as I was expecting
I love how drastically different Cisco is in every other world. Like earth two Cisco is evil and flashpoint Cisco is a billionaire.
When Barry cries, it gets me every time. Has any other super hero shed this many tears? I love Barry Allen so much.
Man this is a great start to this season. This episode was really emotional which I didn't think they would hit so quick out of the gates. I really like that they seem to be trying something new this season instead of another speedster big bad.
loved last night's episode. kind of wish they aired the premiere and this as a 2 hour event, I felt they were so directly connected that this episode only strengthens the first. but either way, great episode, love what they are setting up this season. really hope Albert doesn't turn out to be a Meta and Barry and him just have a rivalry of I'm forced to work with you.
Great episode. I'm really glad Barry told everyone about changing the timeline cause I was really worried they'd drag that out for too long. This episode set up so many things to look forward to: Caitlin's powers, Alchemy giving Wally his speed, Cisco developing his powers, I'm sure Albert will be an interesting addition...plus Barry and Iris
I have a feeling that I'm going to really enjoying reviewing this and Supergirl week to week. Both are off to good starts for me.
This set up some confusing and convoluted logic with the timeline and feels too convenient at times but still enjoy this show
