Id be ok with grant being killed off for a season and Wally taking over Actually sounds like it could be super interesting
I love Barry... But the idea of a Wally West Flash for a season, and Barry moving to Supergirl, would be so sweet. Crisis....
Man, I wonder what the effects of DC Rebirth will mean for The Flash's plan long-term. Do they stay the course they've been going, or take advantage of this most-exciting development for DC in a while? I would have absolutely no idea how they could even incorporate it, but man do I want it.
I quit Arrow about halfway through this season. Struggled through but decided no more. They should rename it Felicity and be done with it. I know Barry and Iris are meant to be together but I really hope this show doesn't become one big relationship drama. I'm happy for characters to be in relationships but when it takes over the main plotlines it's just boring. Also no way the man in the mask isn't Henry and no way he isn't The Flash on that Earth.
I'd honestly hate to be without Grant Gustin for a year, but if they found a way to let him still be on my television while Wally became the sole Flash, I'd take it.
People like Wally enough for him to be the protagonist? Really? I think he's improved, but I still don't like the character or the actor that much. Grant is charming and funny and great at selling the emotional and silly parts of the show alike. Would absolutely stop watching if they "killed" him.
Man in the mask, totally gonna be JWS as Jay Garrick! Didn't even think that until I read the comment and immediately blew my mind. Henry's comment about being related to Garrick's a few episodes back. It was too brushed off by Barry not to mean something. And now it makes sense. I always thought it could be Henry in the mask, just not Henry as Jay. I feel like they're gonna do the same thing as last season in the finale. Leave it on a cliffhanger. Which sets up season 3. (Not that I mind) Their "race" is just gonna be Zoom using Barry to change the course of history. He needs two speedsters that are fast enough. Zoom can't do it alone... Which will then bring back Grodd back into the fold for 3.. Just my guess. I'm sure it's wrong, but hey, tomorrow's the day. Stoked! Side note: I'm finally getting my flash coffee mug. Hellz yes.
This episode was a complete miss for me other than that final scene. Intriguing twist that pretty much opens up any and all possibilities for next season. This season, though, was a C at best for me. Very disappointing. Jay/Zoom was an awful villain, IMO.
I don't dislike the season as much as most in this thread but this finale was a disaster. It felt like 90% of the dialogue was exposition explaining science or recapping the season, time remnants are complete bullshit, and the man in the iron mask was entirely pointless.
The dialogue was so, so bad. I laughed out loud at three separate occasions. Time remnants, again? Time wraiths, again? Ugh, one of the least satisfying finales ever. Without that last scene, I might have been ready to give up on this show. I know some people don't like the time travel elements, but essentially deleting the timeline is definitely the most interesting thing to this episode, for me. Will Eddie still be alive? Will the real Harrison Wells still be alive? What does this mean for all the relationships on the show? Definitely an intriguing way to go out, at the end of a monumentally anticlimactic finale.
I mean, it's the CW so the dialogue is always going to have super cheesy parts. I thought the race idea was stupid but also very flash-y, so in the end I'm ok with it. Thought the idea of grabbing the time wraiths was a smart move, though it definitely looks like they created the Black Flash / Black Racer. And that ending, holy shit he just created the flashpoint. Shit's going to get bad. Bring me Wonder Woman beheading Mera, the Atlanteans drowning all of Europe, and Thomas Wayne as the Batman-on-drugs "bruce is deeeeaaaaad" vigilante.
IF this soft resets everything, I'm sooooo down for that. Weird that they would tease Quick and Wally and then do that.
I see what mean by this being an alright special (still not as bad as some people make it out to be) I'm hyped to see Flashpoint in season three though =D Same, I hoping they bring back the real Laurel Lance.
This episode was awful other than JWS suiting up. If this is the last we see of him/the Wells family/Wally I'll be furious
