The Flash (Andy Muschietti, June 16, 2023) Movie

The latest and greatest date for the long-gestating Ezra Miller-starring Flash movie has been set.

July 1, 2022.

 

I was worried this was going to be scrapped. Seems like it's been in development hell forever.

 

I think the odds of that are still somewhat high, but WB announcing a new date today is at least promising.

 

That release date is 2.5 years away, so ya I guess nothing is certain.

I forgot about Andy Muschietti getting signed to direct this. Updated the title.

For the longest time, word was that the movie was going to be Flashpoint-related, but that'd make zero sense now.

 

He might technically still be "in talks" to direct, but it sounds like he's the guy.

 

Hopefully they make sure to keep Ezra Miller away from fans during the eventual press tour

Michael Keaton is in talks to return as Bruce Wayne.

 

Would make sense because Flashpoint

 

If they really do Flashpoint, please do it because it’s a premise that can lead to a good character-driven adventure w/ fun toys to play with along the way. Please don’t do it as a way to, like, officially tweak continuity in a way that doesn’t really need an on screen explanation. Please.

That being said, not gonna lie, seeing Keaton reprise the role would be super fun.

 

CBR is reporting a rumor that Warner Bros is preparing to ask Christian Bale to return if the talks with Keaton fail.

 

If that rumor has any merit (friggin' CBR)... it'd be funny 'cause Bale is actually a year younger than Affleck, lol.

Bale was, once upon a time, pretty dead set on letting the Nolan Batman rest in peace, so I'd be surprised if they were able to bring him in for a recurring supporting role. But, if the money offered, the commitment required, & the distance from those films is enough for him to reconsider, then, uh, sure, why not.

Though, if they're just asking any old Batman actor, might as well consider Clooney for it, too.

Just wait till Bale turns it down and then we’ll get Will Arnett’s LEGO Batman.

 

Black Adam is never coming out

 

Frankly, I'm starting to feel the same about The Flash, too.

 

Cool now replace Ezra

 

I refuse to believe this or Black Adam is a real movie until its literally showing in front of me.

 

This dude beat up a woman on camera right? How is he still attached?
