I imagine they are waiting for a few months post-release to say they are moving forward with a different actor for Barry in the new DCU?
Would be cool if they introduced a new Barry at the end of this movie but I doubt they did that. Wouldn't even be mad if they had 3 batman continuities at once too. I really would love one last Keaton Batman movie, then a Batman Beyond with him as old man Bruce, even in an elseworld setting. Tbh Im less excited for this movie and far more excited to see where everything stands once the dust settles.
Doesn't look bad, but it's very weird tonally compared to the last trailer, which made the movie feel like a fun, time travel romp. This felt BIG serious. That, and there's a Keaton bit in there which I've seen described as a "Say The Line, Bart" moment, which felt very pandering.
Seeing this for Keaton Batman and Supergirl. I imagine the two of them won’t be in any DCU films moving forward. Not these incarnations at least.
This looks so extra cynical and bleh to me. Still cannot imagine having to sit through TWO Ezra Millers playing off of each other. The best version of revisiting the "let's get nuts" line is still in that animated Batman '66 movie they made, where they had Adam West say that and also that one line from Dark Knight Returns.
Ezra Miller is terrible but I love the Flashpoint story and Michael Keaton so will probably be going to the theater. It's crazy to think that since Man of Steel was released 10 years ago, it feels like WB have killed and revived the Snyderverse and then killed it again, yet we'll still get elements from the very first Snyderverse movie in this one.
Sounds like a 6 or 7 out of 10 which after marvel’s phase 4 and the Shazam 2/Black Adam debacle is pretty good for superhero movies
