apologies if my comment came across accusatory and/or snarky. I was just having a reaction to Andy putting theirs and the studios failures/poor decisions on the viewer and not on themselves. It's a trend I don't really care for. to be quite honest, I'd probably really enjoy the movie considering my track record lol
I've said it a million times, and I'll say it a million more. But the studios and people making these movies are not capable of actually learning. If it's a hit, they can't comprehend why it succeeded exactly, so they make a sequel and ruin it or run it into the ground eventually. If it's a bomb, they then somehow "learn" the wrong lesson. Movie has shit writing = "People hate women, so no more female MCs". Or the directing and acting was shit = "The movie bombed because there was a queer character for 30 seconds that said 3 words".
