meaning shit’s going so poorly they have to do BOGO to sell tickets, the way dababy had to do for his shows since he said homophobic bullshit and doubled down
Sorry to keep bringing this up, but, wait, so, we see Kara die not just once but a bunch of times? Now I reallllly don't wanna watch this.
I already don't like Ezra Miller, and therefore don't want to reward DC for keeping them on as Barry. On the other hand, I was really looking forward to seeing Sasha Calle's performance. Kara is one of my favorite female comic characters, and I tend to get really emotionally attached when it comes to any iteration of these characters. If all she does is fight Zod a little bit then die a whole bunch, I'd rather not subject myself to that. I hated watching Barbara Gordon and Kate Kane die in Apokolips War, and that movie wasn't even about them. Hell, I didn't even like Maria Hill all that much and I am livid that they killed her in Secret Invasion already. Women aren't just plot devices, or people to kill off for shock value. tbh I'm probably gonna watch this anyway when it comes to streaming, but we have to criticize the media we consume--particularly missteps in representation and not like that cinemasins bullcrap--even when there's parts of it we enjoy or else things won't get better for us.
I haven't seen this movie and I don't intend to see it, but I'm intrigued by this comment, because it's got me thinking. We've already brought up fridging and it is absolutely a thing, but I still don't think it applies in this scenario. Is the issue just that the person killed is a character you like? Which makes sense, absolutely, but I guess my thought is: at what point is it okay to kill a character in service of the story without having to worry about a negative connotation? Actually, also, while I'm thinking about this, wasn't the whole point that Barry changed the timeline and that's why Kara even existed? So even if she lived, if he changed time back, she'd be erased anyway, because her whole existence was predicated on the fact that Barry changed history, wasn't it?
So instead of seeing Sasha Calles big break you’re just not? Any chance she has as staying at the character depends on this movie she should absolutely stay
