I can merge Facebook and they're helping me with that, Twitter won't answer emails so it may stay with that name for a little bit until I figure it all out. I'll cross post stuff to it until I can figure out how to rename it correctly or merge it.
@OhTheWater It is only now, at the end, that I begrudgingly admit that those AP user-picked lists were totally your idea that I just ran with. The truth is out. Haha
Made my peace with the one thing from AP that always haunted me. Clique people probably know who I'm talking about but I just had to make that post. I always regretted how that ended and since AP is going dark, figured I could leave it there.
I mean cmon "In the attics of my life, full of cloudy dreams unreal. Full of tastes no tongue can know, and lights no eyes can see. When there was no ear to hear, you sang to me. I have spent my life seeking all that's still unsung. Bent my ear to hear the tune, and closed my eyes to see. When there was no strings to play, you played to me."
I'm copy-pasting certain stuff (reviews I wrote, nice stuff about the band, etc.) into word documents so I can look back at them eventually and those lists are weirdly one of the things I was most set on saving.
Damn that chat had 5,000 posts? I knew they were big when they signed to the major, but I didn't realize that big.
i actually tried to write something but just keep thinking of grateful dead lyrics. oh well. they work
Jesus there's so much of my life on that site. PMs from people giving condolences when my Nana died. Converstations that started friendships that are now 6+ years running. I am getting all kinds of emotional. Haha
Man, I had a feeling this was impending, but it's still very bittersweet. I made my account at AP in 2002, and know I had been visiting before then. Found a lot of great bands, shows, movies through AP. Reading about Taking Back Sunday's first week sales for TAYF, with the title "look ma, I helped!" The blink breakup threads. The blink reunion threads. The blink breakup threads. Again. The Dark Knight threads. Finding fellow Chad Perrone fans to talk to! Feeling very nostalgic. Thanks for all the memories. Will be so odd to not visit AP. But I'm happy to be one of the first people to check out the new site, and build another great community! Maybe we can bring back the weekly King of the Hill contest! At least I think that's what it was called. That's how I first heard the band student Rick, if I remember correctly!
