Stoked to be making my 7th trip in a row to Gainesville from Ireland !

The line up for Fest never lets me down!

 

Lineup is only a week away!

 

Tomorrow! I'm 90% sure I'm making my first trip down this year. The lineup is never disappointing but I really hope its everything it usually is and more

 

I am only able to go to Pre Fest this year, but this is pretty much the one thing I look forward to every year. Can't wait for the first announcement tomorrow. From what was being said last year, there is a good chance that Against All Authority will be playing this year (20 year anniversary of being a band I believe) and that would be incredible.

 

Yeah I am pritty sure that Against All Authority where announced last year then they had to pull out. So it's a good chance they will play this year.

 

Booked my hotel months ago and this year will be my 7th Fest if I'm not mistaken. Been anxiously awaiting today's announcement because I heard a rumor my favorite band might be playing this year and I will be so freakin stoked!

Cool to see Daggermouth on there. Aren't they also playing a festival in Canada?

Cool lineup, but not cool enough to justify the expenses of a second festival this year. Maybe next year.

 

Against Me Axl Rose whoaaaaaa

 

Fest does a great job with diversity, nice to see.

I really need to make it down for it one year. Against Me doing all of Reinventing is really cool.

 

Sure the lineup will fill out a bit (whats with no Menzingers!!!). Against Me playing Axl Rose alone has me hyped though.

 

If I get at least one of these: Menzingers, PUP, Jeff Rosenstock, Chris Farren, Antarctigo, Dirty Nil then I'll be stoked.

Either way I'm buying passes/Holiday Inn next week. Talked up to much to not go this year haha

 

Actually I'm interested in seeing all of these and need to check out a lot more bands I've heard about on the lineup so I guess I'm actually not disappointed

What hotel do you book? Are there other hotels besides the two listed on the website that you can use that are walking distance to everything?

 

Hampton Inn & Suites Hotel in Gainesville, FL

Hampton is the best hotel but the most expensive. It's more for people who like there sleep (No mad room parties). But is within walking distance of every venue.

The main stage is literally 10 meters from the front door. If your lucky enough you could get a room looking right onto the main stage. View from my room last year....

Damn, that is pretty convenient. What is the main strip that has all of the shows? I'm just curious what the real options for hotels are and doing a general downtown search doesn't really help me.
