Jasmine Lucilla Elizabeth Jennifer van den Bogaerde, better known by her stage name Birdy, is an English musician, singer and songwriter. She has 3 albums to her name, the first of which is an all-cover album featuring songs by Fleet Foxes, The Postal Service, and Bon Iver. Her 2nd and 3rd album is all original music, the former of which is quite not-good and the latter of which I've yet to listen to but I suspect is more of the same. But who gives a shit, that cover album is a goddamn marvel. Skinny Love (Bon Iver) White Winter Hymnal (Fleet Foxes) The District Sleeps Alone Tonight (The Postal Service)
Meg Myers just got some pretty high praise from Pitchfork for her Coachella performance "While SZA, Shamir, Deafheaven, Chris Stapleton—and his wife, who sang as a special guest—and others put up a fight, Meg Myers ruled the Gobi tent. The Nashville-born songstress won over the crowd with her smart, incisive alt-rock, showing why she has such an obsessive cult following." Saying her performance was even better than Deafheaven and Christ Stapleton
This video and song was pitched to me for an exclusive and it hit me in a way that's hard to describe: Summer Scouts - "Vessel" (Video Premiere) • chorus.fm I really liked it, so I said yes! Please check it out.
She is absolutely a show stealer. Both times I saw her at SXSW it was to very unfamiliar crowds and she was the talk of everyone at the end of each show.
Seems like she would be just judging by live video I've seen and from watching the live stream of her Coachella set. She kills it, and her voice is so on point live. Especially in songs like Heart Heart Head and I Really Want You To Hate Me. Hope she comes back to Western New York on her next tour because I unfortunately had to miss her show here in Rochester last year due to a wedding :(

"Good Night In the Ghetto" mixtape. West coast vibes occasionally heavy. Some of the songs I always expect to hear a DJ Mustard tag before the beat drops haha. I've been playing a lot the last month or so. Dej Loaf and Angel Haze if you're unfamiliar with those two as well
Phoebe Bridgers has been opening for Julien Baker lately and I've really come to love what I've heard from her. Gives off an early Rilo Kiley/Angel Olsen vibe.
