I don't usually buy CDs from artists I'm not already familiar with (I wish I had that kind of money!), but thanks for all the recs! I'll keep them in mind for when I have Spotify or something again.
there's so many artists that i could post about in this thread that i wish were bigger on here, but majority of people on this site are just listening to the same old bands they were as a teenager lol
Some favourites of mine from this year that haven't already been posted: Long Neck - World's Strongest Dog Oldsoul - You Were Overwhelmed Cheerbleederz - lobotany Bacchae - Pleasure Vision Gladie - Safe Sins Ellis - Born Again Church Girls - The Haunt Penny Diving - Big inhale Scratchy Blanket - Something For Everyone Erica Freas - Young Orchards - Lovecore Marigolds - Hot Springs Bad Idea - I Just Want To Go Home La Moxie - You've Burnt Your Bridge, Now Lie In It Also the album isn't out until next month, but the songs released so far from the Katie Malco album are some of the best songs I've heard so far this year
@Jake W listened to the Katie Malco songs and damn these songs are incredible! thanks for putting her on my radar!
Definitely post them here! I’m always down for new music. It does suck though that a lot of artists barely get any recognition on this forum because people are listening to the same bands from high school, but it is what it is I guess.
You probably see most of what I'd post anyway because you visit the emo thread lol. I'll try to make an effort to post new releases here as well because not everyone visits that thread and this thread should be more active. Weird to me that a lot of people on this site don't really check out new music, I actively seek out new music now more than ever because it's just so easy to with Spotify etc
New album coming out from Chicago duo OHMME. The new song they released yesterday is great. OHMME - Fantasize Your Ghost (June 5, 2020) • forum.chorus.fm (Here’s a great example of a good band getting no recognition on here)
I know its not the sort of music that gets posted here but this is one of my fave hardcore releases this year.
