She probably doesn't deserve her own thread just yet, but I'm in love with Alexandra Savior's stuff so far. Very cool, noir-ish pop sound. Alex Turner writes with her (you can tell), and he's also producing her upcoming album. She also had a hand in Miracle Aligner off the most recent Last Shadow Puppets album. Anyway, here's the only few songs of her's that are out there (that aren't live videos).
This is vague but there was a female musician who released an album I think within the past five years who then came out as gay afterwards, I read an article about it and already liked her album, maybe it was on here, maybe not but definitely within this sites vibe, guitar based stuff. But I can't remember her name and I really want to hear that album again. Any ideas? Edit: it was Jenny Owens Young
Blown away by this band a coworker recommended! Kinda sounds like if the front woman of Daughter sang for a very good synthpop band.
Anyone ever listen to Jesse Thomas? She has some cool stuff out there and has a really cool/unique voice imo
