Vernon just kills this whole song.

 

The title track/closer on Mary Chapin Carpenter’s new album The Dirt and the Stars has an absolutely skyscraping solo. Hot damn.

 

Steve Lukather, man. Damn.

 

@cshadows2887 I was gonna bring up “Afraid of Love” so seeing you toss in some links to Toto makes me feel extra relevant

same. i love his solo albums but kinda wanted more of the freak/spazz solo stuff along the lines of this album and loose fur

Basically this whole song, but especially the pretty part towards the end and then of course the almost post-rock outtro that I honestly think is better than the climax of Dream House

The second half of this song is just perfect

 

Moving Mountains song Seasonal has a pretty cool two guitar solo section. Also, Bad
Religion throws in tons of cool guitar solos. Always thought Gaslight Anthem’s cover of Baba O’Rielly by the Who yada cool guitar part from Alex to replace the keys section.
