started Endymion and jesus christ the graphic dog death in the first 10 pages almost made me quit, what the fuck man

Just placed a hold on this at the library

 

So i was listening to audiobooks through spotify because i was like well damn if im already paying for it…did not know about the 15 hour limit but I suppose that’s fair. So I have a few more days before I can mercifully finish The Devils.

i grabbed the Audible deal because why not. Went with Of Empires and Dust so I’d get my moneys worth (of the free trial…). The narrator is more bearable, I still don’t like the way the male narrators I’ve heard do female voices.

I wish the narrator of Baldurs Gate 3 would narrate everything

 

I mostly prefer that the narrator doesn’t change their voice for any character tbh

 

y'all haven't listened to the audiobook for Dragonbone Chair and it shows

 

speaking of, just finished The Heart of What Was Lost. Tad Williams is becoming an auto-buy author for me. Except I already bought that Humble Bundle...so I guess I just need to read them all.

 

I started that book having just got home from visiting my parents and really missing their Labrador so I super did not appreciate that scene lmao

 

one of the most under appreciated/under read fantasy authors out there. i need to get back to empire of grass at some point.

 

finished empire of silence last night, really starting hitting towards the end. now to decide if I want to jump straight into howling dark or read something else first.

 

said fuck it and finally started Isako. Up to chapter 7

 

what do you think so far ???

 

I really like it a lot so far, even if the world is grim lol

 

This arrived. Been wanting to read it for a long time and finally pulled the trigger.

 

I have Book 2 of The Devoured Worlds trilogy The Fractured Dark out from the library, but I started reading this just to check it out and I got completely sucked in -->

 

The second and third Passage books burned me so bad I’m hesitant to ever try him again.

 

I started the first Passage book and couldn't get more than 100 pages in, it felt like a much less interesting Stand ripoff

 

I made it through the first Passage and hated it so much that I never even tried with the rest of the series.

 

wow - this is my first time reading anything by this author, and I read ≈ 350 pages in one day which is pretty crazy for me

 

Damn. Guess I’m the only one that like the passage series.

 

Had a few buds read that trilogy and loved it

 

i loved it!

 

Since Odyssey is on everyones mind I want to remind everyone that Dan Simmons Illium/Olympos duology is better than the Hyperion Cantos

 

I still have a hard time believing that ... I'm hoping to get to those this year sometime though.

 

I recently picked these up in an Audible sale.
