There Is No Antimemetics Division is an absolute mindf---- I had today off from work and I have been sitting outside in a beach chair reading this book in one sitting and getting a sunburn
can't remember the last time I read a book in one day. not quite one sitting, because I had to stop and make supper for me and the kids, but I finished it right after. enjoyed the hell out of it. can't say I fully understood it, but it was a fun, wild ride.
Hmm, here are what i would say are the best: Daniel Suarez's Daemon/Freedom duology William Gibson's Blue Ant trilogy Ramez Naam's Nexus trilogy
I read the original Antimemetics division on SCP and it still stuck with me. One of the best examples I can think of of just fully going for an extremely ambitious sci fi premise, and it landed pretty great if not perfectly
I didn't know about SCP until after I finished this and started reading about it, and I read a few times that the author made some changes between the earlier version and what was ultimately published as a book, but I have no idea what those changes were
Amazon put out their “best of 2026” list for Sci-fi/Fantasy https://www.amazon.com/Best-Science...b?ie=UTF8&node=5522564011&tag=absolutepunk-20
Have a couple of those on my to-read list. Wolf Worm was really solid. About halfway through Headlights now and started Automatic Noodle audiobook for lighter fare
Wikipedia has him publishing 33 books between 2011 and 2024. I always feel like I’m seeing three new books by him every time I go to the bookstore haha
also the entire Cradle series by Will Wight is free in ebook form!!! Love to hoard free ebooks I might never read
