Finished Stone of Farewell last night. Very enjoyable. To Green Angel Tower is broken into two books and both are massive. Let's see how long it takes me to finish them! Also the Fable Malazan Book Club is up to 107 members if you still want in! Fable | Stories for everyone
I DEVOURED the Expanse series during covid. So good. Also I see that Saga on there! One of my favorite comics
I ordered the novella The Scour on Amazon, but it had Purchase Options and the only available delivery was a while - I wanted a physical copy though and not an e-book
The r/Fantasy Megasale has begun. Tons of discounted indie ebooks for a good cause. Worth checking out at least, I always find something good to grab. r/fantasy MegaSale 2025
The new Black Company is weird…there’s nothing grimdark about it, there are no military engagements (or military characters), and the two characters now narrating the story constantly admit that it reads more like a teens diary than a military annal…which like…why? it also has the most abrupt ending i have ever read, like I was honestly worried I had a misprint that was missing the last page. it felt like he suddenly wanted to turn Black Company into YA on book 10 and again I ask….why?? i didn’t hate it, but it wasn’t the return to the world that I was looking for
presents, gift cards, and store credit from my favorite used book store. I’m excited to get more reading done in 2026! (2026 is so weird to type)
No, but the synopsis sounds good. All of them are new authors for me except the author of DCC and T. Kingfisher (The Hollow Places was good and I’m finishing up Nettle and Bone).
I haven’t read his Necroscope stuff, but his Cthulhu Mythos books are phenomenal. He was such a great, evocative writer. I’ll be curious to hear how you like Necroscope, it’s definitely on my TBR
