@theagentcoma sends full series, limited edition, signed by the author, even if they're dead now. I'll make sure he buys for you this time @spiffa0 (In reality it's a running joke about fancy things, I'm pretty confident in saying they've almost always just been normal books haha.)
@tvck as for the Goodreads shelf thing, that can be super helpful, we kind of just wing it. I handle the assignations and questions, so if you want to know something about your person specifically, feel free to ask and I'll intermediate. But some of us started trying to have a Goodreads "books I own but haven't read yet" shelf (someone in here already does that and we were imitating, I think?), so that if you look your person up on Goodreads, you can see what they've already read (normal) and what they already own and then try to pick something else. It's not perfect, but it seems to work okay.
I'll make pairings in the next couple days and let everyone know. @Garrett I'll send you a book anyway
oh sweet yeah. it's a really good idea. I need to finish actually making mine, I gave up at some point. but it would be super useful since I'm always grabbing ebooks and audios in different deals across different systems, then forgetting and repurchasing later.
Yeah I have an "own but haven't started shelf" and then a "want to read" shelf of stuff I don't own But also every year I've gotten stuff that wasn't on any of my shelves and every year they've been good picks!
I just started Memories of Ice (Malazan) (5% in) and I’m immediately more interested and engrossed in the story than the start of the last 2.
best book of the main 10. But yes I'll be breaking into The Strength of the Few. Glad I read the first book two months ago
Strength of the Few off to a good start. Ryan Morton gives me Andrew Wincott (narrator for Osten Ard books) vibes with his narration.
My plan was to do Blackfire Blade on release day then Strength of the Few also on release day (both audio), but I had a Libby loan come available first (David Dalglish's The Radiant King, which is amazing btw), so I've been doing that. Hoping to start SOTF before the end of the month at least though. Super excited.
