Finished the second Carl book and bought the next two. Glad they are longer. Only on the 4th floor and there’s only seven books!
Finished The Will of the Many last night by staying up until almost 1 AM. Unbelievable book. Gonna be thinking about this one for a long time.
That last chunk had me digging around Reddit theory posts for a few days after lol. Can’t wait for November.
Yea, definite reread of the will of the many coming up as well as some of the suneater. Both those books come out the same day. Gonna be good. Its nice to finally anticipate release days all caught up.
It won't matter for me as I can't finish a book in a week :) Darn, I'll have to decide how to handle reading these. I may just wait on Strength of the Few and read Shadows upon Time as at the moment, I'm more invested and interested in that conclusion. I reread 1-5 before 6 came out and reread 1-3 before 4 came out so I'm only going to refresh on book 6 before the final one. There are awesome youtube recaps done by Christopher himself (obviously not suggesting you do that for the unread, but if you need a refresher on 1-3 before 4-6, they're out there and great).
Man me neither. I’m gonna have to focus that week because I know Shadows Upon Time is gonna take me a bit.
Thanks for the heads up.i think I remember most of it but it couldn't hurt to refresh myself so I'll look into those before I start the next 3.
I am about 60% finished with Kingdoms of Death (Sun Eater) and holy hell. Great book so far. Just need to turn off the political part of my brain at times. (Socialist society is evil, the bogeyman that society created is called the liberalists, Catholics remain a beacon of humanity far into the future). Beyond those minor quibbles, this is one hell of a book.
Haha I just opened the thread to say this. Just logged it into Goodreads. Obviously big stuff happened, but it felt like filler compared to book 1.
very happy I didn’t notice any of that (whether it’s good or bad, I generally turn off the part of my brain that makes those political connections when reading sci fi or fantasy)
I'm almost done with 6 and let me say without spoilers, the long game is strong in this one and there's been very little filler. Some great reveals, twists, callbacks etc.
for anyone who reads ebooks, I put mine on sale for $2.99. It won't be available on Kindle Unlimited anymore starting tomorrow so the sale only lasts today! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DW1GLG72/?tag=absolutepunk-20
Browsing the book store earlier killing time and bought the sunlit man since it seems pretty standalone.
I just assume at this point that any Sanderson is gonna be some Cosmere thing that requires some sort of previous knowledge to get the most out of the story.
