been really struggling focusing on a book and had too many going, so I've cleared the deck, gonna take a day or 2, then pick a book and focus.
Any of you who don’t know how to read but want to listen, this thing’s up on Audible and iTunes and Amazon.
you're not gonna believe this, but I was just listening to Fellowship of the Ring on audiobook the other night to relax before bed / try to get my BP down, and I thought to myself how great it would be to have your books on audiobook
Well, I decided to start my reread of Malazan. I'm in the third chapter of GotM right now which is like 125 pages into the book. I was reading The Grace of Kings (my reading book, Malazan is for audio) and it just gave me the urge to finally go back to Malazan. It's night and day to the first readthrough. I actually kind of understand what's going on. I want to include the Ian C Esslemont books this time though. Has anyone read any of those? Are they any good?
one day I'll give Malazan a proper try. I will admit that a lot of the hardcore fans I've encountered in other domains make it tough haha, but I've started collecting the Broken Binding editions so I'll give them a fair shake.
Well, I think the Erikson books are pretty bad to terrible for the most part so I'm probably not the greatest reference, haha.
That's a wild statement okay disregarded lol. I'll just have to give them a shot myself. Just remembered I got Dancer's Lament on an Audible 2for1 recently so I'll dive into that one after GotM.
Going into what will end up amounting to like a 700 dollar commitment over books you're not sure on is wild behavior.
also, I never said I wasn't going to read them. I've always planned on reading them, and this is the only way for me to get a fully matching hardcover set, so whatever. Mind your business
