Yeah Adam was my preference as well. And I love Henry, but I cannot see that at all.

 

Haha yeah I think the casting would be kinda out of left field but I think it would be an interesting take that he could pull off

This is going to sound hypocritical, but I cannot see Jim Carrey as Reed. While Reed can absolutely be warm, it takes an effort, and I feel like Carrey as an actor, even in his serious roles, emits an air of goofiness and endearing that just does nto mesh with how I think of Reed.

Also, Sam Rockwell can't be Human Torch because he's already Justin Hammer.

Also, a darker tone is one of the many reasons why F4antastic failed. The comics team is about family, that should be the tone for any FF film. I'm not saying it can't have dark elements, but if you set out with that tone, then you've already misunderstood the assignment.

 

I actually understand this. I don't really want to say I'm super sold on Pedro being Mr. Fantastic, but I think as far as an actor goes, he's a pretty good choice and I think he could give it a solid try. I trust him to try based on his work, I guess.

I'd rather an actor who may not fit but be willing to go for it vs. an actor who may fit but doesn't actually give a shit.

I realize this is assuming a lot.

Besides Reed, this has been the rumored cast for awhile. How does everyone feel if this indeed our 4?

 

Does Pattinson not give a shit? I really know nothing about what he thinks of his roles.

Harrison Ford on the other hand, he acts the hell out of any role he's given even when he doesn't give a shit because he's a goddamned professional.

 

Pretty sure the Pattinson thing is a holdover from the Twilight movies. Dude seems to genuinely love what he’s doing now
