Has Marvel even fumbled casting once yet? They have one of the best casting directors in Hollywood. So weird to all of a sudden start doubting them when they know what they want and need for Reed

 

Sarah Halley Finn is a casting queen.

 

I'm still confused then. You think Pedro's not what you want from Mr. Fantastic, but you also don't know what is.

Why do you think Pedro couldn't play Mr. Fantastic the way you want?

 

I can’t see him right now as Reed, but he’s a great actor so I trust him to pull it off.

Are people really surprised over the Pedro casting?

 

Considering the outrage on Twitter over it not being Krasinksi, yes

 

Are they not familiar with like, the entirety of his career.

There’s now word that Javier Bardem is the front runner to play Galactus. Antonio Banderas was originally rumored for awhile

 

i would love to see a fantastic four movie where it isn't a reboot again, where the team is already established, and they are pulled together for one last mission. a-team style but with the fantastic four. i'd like to see jim carrey as reed richards, charlize theron as sue storm, sam rockwell as the human torch, & clancy brown as the voice of ben grimm. i would pay money to see a movie like that instead of another origin story for em. make it gritty, raw, emotional. i think those characters would be more respected if it was done with a lil darker of a tone.

 

Also apparently Christopher Abbott and Jamie Dornan both tested before the strike, but did not test well. Gyllenhaal was the main choice but he wanted too much money like Adam Driver. Obviously take with a grain of salt because the source isn’t the most reliable and is also a dickhead.

Guys, just because someone is a fantastic actor doesn't mean they're always right for a certain role. Jesus Christ. It's not that huge a deal or weird of an opinion.

 

While I don’t agree with you, I’m not gonna tell you you’re wrong if that’s how you feel. But I would really like to hear who you think a good alternative is and then probably tell you you’re wrong about that. Lol

 

You haven't explained your reasoning. I'm interested to hear it.

 

I'd take Henry Cavill. Adam Driver was excellent casting but that fell through.
