The Thing CGI looks cheap but overall I’m cautiously optimistic about this

 

It doesn't look great, but it's better than pretty much all CGI in the MCU in the past 5+ years other than Guardians of the Galaxy 3

 

We know how marvel works and it’s certainly not finished yet

but could still end up looking bad


That said I watched on a crappy monitor at work so I’m not judging

 

I don’t really know what frame of reference people use for this stuff. It looks fine to me.

I know what you mean, i'm always disappointed when I go to the cinema to watch film posters for two hours and one is AI.

Ok, but… idk, what is your post trying to accomplish?

I personally didn’t see anyone say anyone else was wrong to be excited for this movie. But, some of us, like Meerkat and myself, had genuine excitement for the movie that was spoiled for us by that seeming use of generative AI. (They’re claiming the posters aren’t AI, but I don’t really buy that it wasn’t used at all. Best case scenario, it was one of many tools/elements employed.) I didn’t choose to have my excitement for a Marvel movie (a rarer thing for me these days) dampened by that troubling, unethical technological trend.

 

Excuse me for wanting the billionaires to pay artists

 

The casting for the 4 is basically the only thing that saves those movies

This popcorn bucket trend is dumb. Good for collectors tho

 

I shouldn’t judge because I collect my fair share of things but like I wanna see someone’s popcorn bucket collection. How are they stored? Displayed? Do they get used?
