I don’t personally find the official canon clunky since it’s how time travel would actually theoretically work if it were possible in the real world. It’s the only way to avoid the Grandfather Paradox that doesn’t involve the situation where anything you try to do in the past to change the future just makes the same future happen anyway.

Yeah I always appreciated the way they approached it here because it also left room for consequences. Like, sure, they’re able to “undo” it so to speak, but everyone still has to live with what happened before and what happens thereafter.

 

Right like what happened with Loki, like they could’ve potentially *fucked up* that alternate timeline by allowing him to escape with the space stone. And we’ll see what happens with that in the Loki series.

 

Disappointed they didn’t take off running given that this is only 6 episodes. Feels like they definitely didn’t need 50 minutes to establish that Bucky’s trying to make amends, Sam’s family is in a rough financial spot, and there’s a new Cap
