Crazy saying “I really liked this overall but didn’t agree with xyz” means insufferable.

There’s some interesting concepts here, even if by the end of the series it does turn into standard superhero fare

Just finished the first episode and it’s very much a set up episode and was 42 min or so with 6 minutes of credits

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

really good. I liked how it started with the all-out action scene that was basically a Winter Soldier sequel but the rest was mostly focused on the small character stuff. Mackie and Stan were both great as ever

Bucky's therapist is my new favourite character

I enjoyed this. Sebastian Stan’s performance already more engaging than anything previously.

I like how the episode focused on showing us where Sam and Bucky are in their lives. Seeing Sam interact with his sister and Bucky deal with his trauma is better than just going straight into action.

Def a set up episode but that’s fine, thought it was good. New Cap looks ugly under the helmet

  13. I hope no one minds me posting this here (as I mentioned in the Mandalorian and WandaVision threads, just let me know if it feels spammy) but I've been messing around with YouTube for the last few months and will be sharing reaction/review videos for this show.

I'm always open to feedback too so if there's something you notice that doesn't work or something I could improve upon feel free to shoot me over a message. For whatever reason, making the videos after watching each episode makes it feel like more of an "event" for me personally.

A necessary first episode and a good introduction to where everyone is. Out of everyone, I feel Sebastian Stan is gonna benefit most from this show. I think he spoke more in that episode than he has in his entire time in the MCU! He’s a very underrated actor IMO.

Loved that opening scene with Falcon and Batroc’s team too. Glad we’re seeing more of Redwing too!

I did find it interesting that Sam was an Avenger but he was basically broke.

I like how they show there was actually consequences for not existing for five years instead of everything just being normal

There was some heavy-handed, weak dialogue, like how they laid it on super thick how hard it is to lose a child in two separate scenes, or when they replayed the clip from Endgame at the very beginning and then Sam repeats what he said five minutes later when he's talking with Rhodey. But other than that it was really good. The opening action scene was great.

    Definitely looking forward to more.

Same, I like how the snap/Blip is this looming thing over the world and they’re still trying to process it.

It was funny to actually have someone in-universe ask the question about how superheroes make an actual living. Like obviously there are exceptions, Stark had his company and Black Widow worked for the government, but not all of them actually have a non-heroing revenue stream. I guess when they were all living rent-free at the Avengers compound it wasn't so much of an issue but that isn't an option anymore obviously.

It was funny that Sam's answer was basically Superhero Patreon haha
