I like that the trailers made this seem like a super quip fest but it actually ended up being a little more ~serious~ than typical Marvel stuff. Usually it’s the opposite when it comes to Marvel

I thought it was charming when Sam and Bucky were having that little therapy session. Sam was the compassionate listener and Bucker trusted him enough to admit what he refused to admit to his counselor.

This show is finally hitting its stride but I really wish it wasn’t as “messy”. Definitely needed like 2-3 more revisions because the core ideas and plot is fantastic

yeah it's a shame it really got good more than halfway into its run

unless the finale really brings out the big guns, my main takeaway from this show will honestly be that flashback scene to Wakanda. weird how that's more memorable than the present-day plot, but man, just such a powerful goddamn scene. Sebastian Stan did not have to go that hard for a flashback in this silly show but he did that for us

Is that the terrorist dude that Steve beat the shit out of at the beginning of Cap 2?

Bucky getting deprogrammed in Wakanda, Ayo reads the words that activate his Winter Soldier training and he just tears up and she says "you are free"

super simple but goddamn it was powerful stuff

I’ve seen some comparisons of the fight to ones like the final fight in civil war.
But I think there’s some details in the fight with John Walker that parallel previous movies.
Like when Bucky gets knocked out a parallel to when Tony gets knocked out by Thanos and when Bucky prevents Walker in the end like Cap saving Thor from Thanos.

I like Sebastian Stan but don’t really think he’s a great actor.

I also love his energy and outlook about the whole MCU thing. The guy genuinely loves being a superhero and his enthusiasm is infectious.

I think he’s most of the reason The Winter Soldier movie worked so well for me. He really grounded the characters.

There had to have been a better way to get to this episode and last week’s than episodes 1-3. Think I’d be enjoying this much more if it got off to a better start

Kinda disappointing, I do not feel like I just watched a fully planned miniseries with a beginning middle and end. Just a bunch of stuff happening

Idk, I liked it. Message was probably the strongest of any Marvel film/tv so far. Mackie is the best.

I liked it overall. I really enjoyed the finale for what it was. Seems like Covid messed with some of this story line as well. Don’t mind Sharon being bad. Love EVC so I’m fine with her being around in future films in a fun role. Sam looks good in the suit

I loved it when Walker had his big "hero moment" (in quotations cos he's still a piece of fucking shit), choosing to save the truck instead of going after Karli, and then she immediately jumped on his back and fucking yeeted him off lmao

Some very funny moments this week but I don't think they were meant to be
