The Falcon & The Winter Soldier (Kari Skogland, Aug 2020, Disney+)

Malcolm Spellman & Derek Kolstad were hired to write a limited series that would focus on Sam Wilson/Falcon and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier. The series was officially announced and titled in April 2019, with Mackie and Stan confirmed to be starring. It is expected to start filming in October 2019, debuting within the first year of the streaming service.

In May 2019, it was announced to consist of six episodes directed by Kari Skogland, with Emily VanCamp and Daniel Bruhl set to reprise their roles as Sharon Carter and Baron Helmut Zero. The plot of the series will take place following the events of Avengers: Endgame. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will premiere in August 2020.

Why bother setting up Wilson as the new Captain America if they just keep calling him Falcon?

 

Yeah I was wondering that too. Will go but be referred to as Captain America?

I was actually hoping for a CA4 & IM4 with Sam and Pepper but I'm stoked for the focus on new characters

Ya I think he just gets arrested by SHIELD or whoever and the end of CW.

 

My issue with Zemo being a bad guy still is that it really undercuts the ending of Civil War.

Like I thought Zemo was a bad dude no doubt, but who at least had a motivation that was “understandable” but I thought his arc was wrapped up after T’Challa talked to him.

Kind of a weird choice to have him come back unless I missed some key details.

 

I dont mind him coming back. I loved his role in Civil War and curious to learn more about him in the shows

Woops, you guys are totally right. I was thinking of how he tried to shoot himself in the end, forgetting he was unsuccessful. Haven't seen it since it was in theaters heh.
