I am going full stan mode this season. I originally started watching last season cause I love horror and I love Herrera, but it turned out to be a fantastic show. Seems like the odds of a new season will be slim, but so far season 2 is fantastic. There is only like one main white male character out of the cast and it is amazing lol. The cast is so talented and diverse, and the show is just a beautiful watch. John Cho is a gift, etc. A delightful horror show.
Just watched the first two eps last night. Pretty cool how it straight out begins with us knowing they're haunted. In a way, it allows for the family and their strange past to be the real mystery of the show. Some lol-worthy moments like when Casey attacks Father Tomas in the attic but it hasn't turned me off from the other genuinely terrifying moments.
I'm also interested in what's up with Grace, since I believe nobody except John's character has interacted with her or acknowledged her. At first I thought maybe she was his bio daughter or something and was treated slightly differently cause he's not in the same danger of losing her. The last episode mentioned a sign of possession is seeing imaginary friends, so it'd be interesting if that was a sign and he was the one who became possessed. But I'm also like is that another red herring cause how could nobody have acknowledged her? Wouldn't the social worker be like "you're taking care of x amount of kids" and he's like "naw what? What about Grace" and then she's like wut. Or wouldn't the kids be like ...so about this extra room/bed??"idk idk
Omg!!! Also as soon as the episode finished I exclaimed I couldn't wait a whole week and then found out I have to wait two smh just stab me in the heart
The last episode lost me a lil bit. The pacing was off for me. I enjoyed that they explored the beginning stages of the possession and what it's like from the possessed's pov, but an entire episode dedicated to it was a bit much for me. I wanted to see the kids and espesh Harper's reaction. The episode before this one was one of my faves of the entire series tho
That scene in the ep before this one where Marcus is trying to pull the demon out of hiding and was questioning andy omg it was like an art form. Can't believe so many horror fans are sleeping on it
Right!? I keep trying to recommend it but then I get people like @Kingjohn_654 who just brush me off. It’s such a good show
Ur loss tbh! And our loss if it doesn't get renewed smh lol. But honestly I never expected it to get a second season and I feel #blessed that we did because as much as I enjoyed season 1, im enjoying season 2 even more.
Sometimes they're coy and annoying about it so I never know what to believe! Jeremy said they didn't find out about being renewed for season 2 until the first week of May and that he doesn't know about season 3 yet but I suppose he may not say even if he did
This is true. But I mean, if it’s meeting or beating ratings from Season 1 which gif it renewed, logic dictates it’ll happen again
I think this is a very well made show but it doesn't normally give me scared feelings. But this ep. I admittedly was half paying attn at one point and looked up and Tomas saw Andy's demon wife on top of him and I jumped haha. Also felt so anxious when verity was going thru that house before the reveal Andy escaped like sis the power is out and everything is creaking but nobody is answering like baaaaaail
Yep. As soon as you walk into a creaky house and realize the power is out and nobody is responding, you gotta skedaddle out of there.
