Most of the hate I’ve seen for the new Ghostbusters is people being bitter about it being geared towards kids/families which is goofy and people need to get over it already.
the trailer was one of the worst I've seen in years but if the reviews come out positive, ill check it out
I don't know if I'd consider the first one aimed at kids. It just kind of ended up that way when you ignore the terrifying opening and the ghost blowjob. I think the animated series/Urkel-like rise of Slimer as a character re-wrote its history as a kid's franchise.
Zilla is correct, the first movie was not aimed at kids. However, as time as gone on, the view of it has been changed largely because of the animated show and the merchandising of the movie and said show. Not to mention that the theme song is practically on every single Halloween party CD/playlist in the land and Ecto Cooler is a beloved Hi-C flavor. The new movie is basically coming full circle with it.
My issue with the ghostbusters trailer is it’s a sequel to a dumb comedy but treated with some absurd reverence like it was the most important movie ever. Just be funny with ghosts?
They got to have a big star run through a Wal-Mart. Paul Rudd couldn’t say no to that dump truck of money. At the very least, Carrie Coon is getting paid.
tbh as little sense as Halloween Kills made, it would make way less sense having Rudd try to do what Anthony Michael Hall was doing in that
Someone correct if this is wrong but I’m being told by multiple people that in the second post credit scene the voice warning Dane Whitman to not pick up the Ebony Blade is Mahershala Ali’s Blade.
That kinda makes sense considering a reported leak over the weekend said Blade’s coming sooner than later, as he’s supposed to show in the Moon Knight show.
I thought it was Samuel L., but his voice was deeper, so it could be Blade. Either way, you only hear their voice and never see them.
Man, the reviews for this have been brutal. (Also, Thor is the worst movie, not Thor: The Dark World)
I haven’t watched either since they were released in theaters. I really hope this one is at least rewatchable due to how stacked the cast is.
Dark World was boring, I genuinely don’t remember anything about it other than the Reality Stone being in it.
The worst MCU movie is definitely Thor: The Dark World, followed by Hulk and Iron Man 2. Antman and the wasp isn’t far behind either.
