His show cracks me up but his interviews and what I assume his standup is seems like it would annoy the shit out of me.
It started really rough with just talking about drugs and screaming but it got a lot better towards the end. I think a lot of his comedy doesn't really translate to pure standup
Think the focus on drugs at the early part of the set is mostly fan-service, since we all know what audience he appeals to. As the set goes on, becomes more traditional standup and he touches on some really woke subjects I honestly didnt expect from him, which is awesome.
The first ~20 minutes is exactly what you should expect out of Eric if you watch TEAS. I loved the special and I can't wait to watch it again.
I think it works much better as a prank film than most. The narratives flow really well using real people as a background. I've actually watched it three or four times already lol. Watching with friends is great because of how uncomfortable they get for people. The jailbreak scene is legit the funniest thing I've seen in one of these movies.
I could not get into the Netflix stand up special. Probably the first thing he’s done that I didn’t care for. I need to go back and give it another chance I think.
