Agreed, heavily.

 

Wow, I'm pretty surprised the actor who plays James is 22 and Alyssa is 25. I wouldve guessed James to be the older one, and I wouldn't have guessed either of them to be more than 20 years old

 

I didn't realize they were so old but I read an interview with the actress that plays alyssa and she talked about how they first did a movie version of the story...6 years ago. so that got me thinking to how old she must be now, I knew she had to be older if she played the same character 6 years ago

 

I believe that version also had Craig Roberts (Submarine, The Fundamentals of Caring) as James which I can totally see.

 

I thought of Submarine when I first watched the trailer for this.

It's so weird how there's literally nothing online about the movie version other than an IMDB page and recent interviews with Jessica Barden. I was curious just to see a trailer or clip to find any similarities

Just watched it all in one sitting (like I'm sure most people did) and I actually thought it started off a bit iffy but I fucking loved it by the end, the characters are incredible and the soundtrack is great, and it's shot beautifully.

At first I actually wasn't crazy about the ending being so abrupt but the more I thought about it the more I liked it.

I did notice that when James was narrating he spoke in past tense, and when Alyssa did it was in present tense, so I actually predicted one of them would die by the end, so I was super tense for the whole last like 15 minutes.

I can tell I will be thinking about this show all day tomorrow lol. I agree that I hope this is only one season though

 

damn what an observation. I take it that means he deff died then.

 

The official Facebook page for the show posted "In case you were wondering, James is still very alive in our hearts." I wouldn't put it past them to just change that if they felt like it, though.

 

This show is brilliant and the soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard

I just finished this last night and loved it. I hope they just leave it as it ended but I won't be surprised if another season gets ordered.

 

I'm still conflicted about this thing but I will say I hope they don't do another one

 

this was excellent

 

I wasn’t sold on this at first, but it definitely won me over by the end.

Hope they don’t do a season 2, though.

How does a show that ends this perfectly get a new season when a show like Everything Sucks doesn’t even get a second go

 

Yeah I'll watch but this show doesn't need a season 2

 

The only way I can see them making this work is if they choose completely new characters and tell a different story each season
