I only have two pairs of headphones at work and one pair should literally be considered the “last-resort” pair. It would probably give me a brain aneurysm to listen to one band with a decent pair and another with a complete garbage pair at the same time. I saw Martha when they were touring with Jeff Rosenstock and didn't realize the one singer was the same person from One Night Stand In North Dakota. It was a revelation.
125 Rue Montmartre discog lp getting released through thirty something records, plus an unreleased song
fuck whatever your listening too, the best album ever written just turned 10 years old today/tomorrow
@fluxyjoe posted this projects first single last month, but now the anxious hum ep is out. havent listened to the whole thing but what ive heard is good so far
i knew you'd be into this! i got to see them in stockholm on a tour with ratboys and dowsing a few years ago. was really wild to experience seeing them there and cool to get a more of a grasp/appreciation for how far reaching this niche and bands like algernon et al had reached and resonated with people.
That is awesome! Sounds like a sick show. I think they really found their own sound on this record. Like, the first one is incredible but sounds like a band being heavily influenced by a ton of other emo bands.. but this one almost sounds like they took that sound and they mixed it with a lot of other influences outside the genre, even like the Beatles and beach boys a little bit. It creates a really unique territory in the genre that I’m not sure has been explored much.
last time they came around NA it was a full tour with Gulfer (or am i imagining that? ) . Lets just have a redo of that entire tour please
