my favorite album of the year so far is out today. can’t really think of anything that it sounds like. microwave but not heavy, tigers jaw but less poppy, hotelier, weakerthans, ceres, idk. just listen to it

Only thing I’ll say is vocals can take some getting used to

For some bands(for me personally Gulfer) but a lot of emo bands I like the vocals straight away

 

I was the same way with gulfer tbh

 

If I didn't love everything else about Gulfer I probably would have given up before the vocals grew on me. It took a while lol

 

I like most of them too, it just seems like it's a constant caveat for emo bands.

Side note: "Constant Caveat" would be a pretty good band or album name.
