So maybe this isn’t news to anyone else but the guys from Grandview made music under a couple different names after they stopped being Grandview. Donna Bummer Washout The only song under that name that I’m aware of. And also Gift Shop. https://agiftshop.bandcamp.com/
Agreed for sure. Never see them talked about, never hear any modern bands drawing from them, and stereo is easily top 5 albums from that wave of emo
I did not. really cool to see them sell out so quickly though, fingers crossed they add another while they’re here.
Thank you for sharing, I really like this. Also, much to Perfect Future (and your avatar), Old Wounds will forever be one my favourite albums.
this is no way related to emo music but i might be getting my first cat this weekend and life is amazing and ive never been more excited for anything more than this
Yeah! Lots of my old friends did group vocals on that album. They were headquartered in the rural town I live in
solo album from bassist of birds in row just released EDIT: wow, this is really really nice EDITpt2: wtf, this is so beautiful
Whenever I mention Jamisonparker the typical response is “wow I forgot about them” or “that’s a name I didn’t expect to hear again”. Sleepwalker has never left my rotation, should be much more of a classic than it is. Same with the first This Providence record (Our Worlds Divorce). I think that kinda stuff made more of an impact on current emo bands than a lot of people recognize
