Leisure Hour album that dropped Friday is very very good. FFO: MOBO, Saturdays at Your Place, Ben Quad guitars Thread
For all the deep heads, I have a q. Anyone know of seminal indie/emo/slowcore/shoegaze/whatevs records that have the opening track kinda subdued, a bit dark, less accessible, maybe more instrumentally focused, then the rest of the album is much more accessible, or gets into the thesis? Its an interesting way to start an album and Im trying to find examples of it
I like the Kerosene Heights record a lot so not surprising I like the Audiotree but seeing/hearing the songs live really add to it for me:
good enough excuse to once again plug one of my favourite albums of all time (not on conventional steaming) - the spoken-word/instrumental opener is one of the great tone setters
Love when a band nails the description of how they sound. Read somewhere that they intended to make a follow-up to the Box Car Racer album and they certainly accomplished it, especially with "Satellite Receiver."
that track has been getting a ton of play on my own personal winter mix. they got anything else coming out?
