Happy Monday

 

We're going to be blessed with an album from them and I cannot be more ready.

 

Long time coming! Hope it's this year.

Ok I know it’s not emo at all but the new sidekick’s album happiness hours is a god damn GEM, it’s the perfect summer album that has a ton of low key sappy lyrics about longing and regret but it’s also got this Annabel vibe to it

 

It’s very bright and fun tho so I apologize to my sad bois and girls

 

is it even music if it isn't sad

 

It makes me kinda sad cus of relatable “I miss things and remember how things used to be” but then again I’m dancing while listening so idk

 

I believe so yeah, which would be ideal.

Basically the old one was deleted because there was so much drama that kept being played out on it that Jason thought it would be better to start fresh.

You should post everything that topshelf put out this year so far, there's a lot of new faces visiting the page now that may have missed it on the old thread.

seeing Dikembe on the 25th and then Wild Pink on the 26th for the record release show - good one, two punch

 

So I had to go through a lot of effort to track down these tracks seeing as the band who originally recorded them completely wiped them from the internet. Luckily, I had some friends who held on to their release at the turn of the decade, and they sent me three files to upload to youtube.

This band called The Olympians, from Indiana, really wrote some choice tracks and I would absolutely say made up an emo-aligned genre that was a huge chunk of the southern midwest DIY scene between 06-10. I really hope ya'll check it out. My favorite moment is the song switch between Sickness & Infection and The Passing of time at 4:29.
