This is crazy good. So many different styles going on here. But also very catchy. ALSO IT'S BANDCAMP FRIDAY!
How are they not signed to Rise or whatever Swancore label thing is going now? FFO: The Fall of Troy - A Lot Like Birds
who's we? EDIT: Lonely Ghost Records... I was on there the other day to see if it was vinyl or not... no merch at all for them. EDIT 2: Another good band who is terrible at links and actually selling themselves... bandcamp IG link doesn't work. FB is actually updated but the link tree it links to looks to be from 2021.
I’m not sure tbh if there’s gonna be enough demand to justify vinyl honestly. Let’s just say we’re all just happy the album is out there at all
If anyone has seen Elliott on their tour that just started last week, how long after doors did they go on stage at your show?
When I posted this before, I thought this was just an EP. But then they kept releasing songs lol. Not really clear on their social media if this is the full LP or if there’s more to come, but everything here is great
this year feels a bit stagnant- not much has stuck for me. I did enjoy Soft Surface, TAGABOW, Stay Inside, Blind Equation, and the Broken Record singles so far. still need to check Jejune, but v much open to recommendations. I tend to enjoy stuff that lingers on the fringes of the genre
Jejune technically isn’t new, haha. Reissues of stuff from the 90s. Of the rest of what you’ve said you enjoyed, most of it I wouldn’t really even call emo. Based on this, I’d recommend albums from bleary eyed Roseville Cryogeyser Pop free (ep) Forty winks (ep)
Yeah its possible I’ve outgrown the “traditional” emo sound a bit, but every once in awhile I do enjoy the stuff posted here. Thanks for these recs- will check back in with my thoughts!
