Just some stuff I've been enjoying lately. Dreamy, twangy emo: Sort of a similar vibe here with a little more honky tonk:
Also discovered No Knife. Fire in the City of Automatons is so damn good. Played it through 4 times today.
everyone in this thread who has not yet listened to the new American Analog Set absolutely need to get on that for fans of Death Cab, (early) Wild Pink, Pinback, Appleseed Cast, etc... https://forum.chorus.fm/threads/the-american-analog-set-for-forever-october-27-2023.65791/
This record was already released and pulled from streaming but it's great, excited for it to hopefully reach more ears now also Siska from The Academy Is is in this band
I wonder if it would be more effective to have a master post where we just list RIYL bands that common posters like (requires participation) and just tag them when you think their interests line up with the band you’re sharing.
good timing! I just moved here today still trying to find a place and a job lol. hostelling in the meantime.
This album is a banger and I just discovered it, it features Mark from Kittyhawk/Joie De Vivreand Katie from @troyplaysbass band Pelafina https://forum.chorus.fm/threads/lunar-ash-rosa-the-red-thread-october-4-2023.65976/ I made a thread because it’s great
I don’t remember who shared the Tripsun album here but it’s so unbelievably good and I’m utterly obsessed with it. There’s so much heart to it and the musicianship is damn tight here it is if you’ve missed it. RIYL Ceres, early The Dangerous Summer mixed with early The Hotelier vibes
