hey, i'll delete if not appropriate, but i'd vainly searched my old band (Casavettes) over the years and came across people saying nice things in this thread. it genuinely blew my mind & reassured me seeing those comments so just want to say thank you, most of all. i live in ireland, and we did get a lot of love for the album, but there's not really an emo scene here, so it meant a lot seeing it resonate with people elsewhere. its been 4 years & i'm in a new project - we released our first 2 tracks yesterday. just thought i'd share if there was interest. thank you again
senselessness was amazing - I remember spinning it so much when it was released. Excited to check this out
The low field tracks rock. Feel like the culmination of everything casavettes had done. Stoked to hear more
ah thanks so much! it was definitely interesting bringing that sort of sound to a new group and seeing how other people would interact. it's been fun doing the 2 vocalists thing too
gonna throw in some other irish bands i'd highly recommend while i'm here: doubting - girlfriend - (my partners band - they're getting p big in ireland atm)
Currently listening to Nothing Feels Good by The Promise Ring. You can tell by how weathered the sleeve is, I’ve had this album since it was new because I’m a million years old.
Started a new newsletter on gear and talked to John from Gnawing for the first one, if that kind of stuff interests you at all What's in the Rig? #1: John Russell from Gnawing
I really enjoyed reading this and immediately subbed. I'm such a gear nerd and love this scene (and adjacent sub-scenes, lol), so this newsletter is right up my wheelhouse. Thanks for making it, great job!
