I feel like Moneen and that entire era/subset of emo (Hot Rod Citcuit; Northstar, Park, etc) is so criminally underrated
For those who enjoyed that Seagulls single I posted a couple days back, here is their debut album from 2015. It's deeply textured and jangly surf-rock/emo touched with NES vibes (a sound that seems to be getting popular these days, i.e. It Looks Sad) I personally love it and recommend it to everyone. They also made available their new album Thrown Voice for pre-order on bandcamp.
from Ian Cohen "Can't seem to find any info about this band but I can tell you that their new album does some interesting things in a subgenre of indie rock where it's really hard to stand out." I like the new single you posted.
not sure if it belongs here or the math rock thread, but Clever Girl's fantastic album No Drum and Bass in the Jazz Room is on Spotify now. look them up by the album name, cause there are quite a few different bands with the name Clever Girl.
oh that's really cool! I did not like the reunion album unfortunately, and havn't gone back to it in a very long time. maybe I should give it a try again.
