Definitely agreed with the Parannoul and Appleseed Cast recs. Here are some others from my year-end list I posted a few pages back. I love this sound but I don't think there were too many records that touched on it this year.

There are two others! Downfall of the Neon Youth, which is similar to To See the Next Part of the Dream, and then the other one Let's Walk on the Path of a Blue Cat which has a math rocky vibe that strongly reminds me of Toe, Enemies, or LITE.

DOTNY is technically a split with Asian glow and sonhos who are both also worth checking out, and LWTPOABC is from 2019(?) I think

This isn’t new or anything, but I was just realizing how much I return to this album. I always loved Prawn and even though this isn’t technically a Prawn album, I consider it my favorite Prawn album.

 

Highly underrated album
