was just about to post about the Algernon stuff. stoked to get more of their records on vinyl (this friday when i get paid of course)
hope they get their albums on Spotify, i lost my digital copies with my old laptop

had Parrot Flies and Some Kind on record, found them digging a used section a couple years ago. I gotta pick up the rarities collection now though.

 

now I'm on the Lauren Records bandcamp giving this a listen...

 

Amazing album rec'd by @Colin Your Enthusiasm awhile back. Anyway, highly recommended if you're into mid-western emo. It's equally reminiscent of early Modest Mouse and You Blew It! at times.

Also here's an Argentinian emo record. Mathy, gorgeous, and has gang vocals.

 

I have a copy of Parrot Flies but still need Some Kind of Cadwallader. Might buy the tape

Algernon hinting at a potential reunion show in 2020 made me think of dream reunion emo shows - where a few dead emo bands get back together for one more show.

would love a line-up like Hightide Hotel (headliner), Algernon (direct support), and Everyone Everywhere and Marietta as support. it just so happens all of those bands are from Philly too. hahah. what are some other people's "dream" line-ups?

 

Algernon Cadwallader, Snowing, The Brave Little Abacus, Merchant Ships, and Glocca Morra playing one show together. I would go crazy.

 

Any of those bands + Grown Ups
