digging the hell out of armlock

 

A little bummed cause I ordered that Armlock vinyl a month ago, got the shipping notification on the 7th which said that it’d be here no later than 21st but gave me no tracking number. Still waiting :( emailed the band and they said they’d get back to me but never heard anything. Good record but that was like $35 haha

 

buying vinyl sounds terrible in 2021 and I’m afraid my collecting days are likely behind me until I can afford a bigger apartment and have space to set up my turntable and speakers which will probably be a long time

 

Yeah some of the timeframes are out of control. The only reason I’m buggin on this record in particular is because I actually did get the shipping notice and I’d rather my wax not be out there lost, especially not during the hottest time of the year. But otherwise... I just waited close to a year for Define The Great Line to show up — after that one I can wait just about anything lol

 

Took 15 months to get my ghosts and vodka vinyl cause apparently USPS lost them all in the mail and they had to make/send replacements. Longest ive ever had to wait

 

My Everyone Everywhere vinyl arrived today and was the fastest ever which I guess means the trick is to wait til you have them all boxed up and ready before you put them on sale and also make it 10 years later

 

New Laura Stevenson record is incredible

this whole album is incredible. If you have been craving a new Hotelier album, this is the next best thing. The whole album seamlessly flows end to end and is something special, f'real.

haven't checked out Mui Zyu yet, but been digging Skirts' album and the cover art is so lovely

None of the same members but they might know each other, everyone in Chicago seems to. I have no idea what this sound is called but I'm a big fan, Date Stuff was great for the short time they were around.
