Yeah I don't really get the dogleg hype either. They play at my job all the time and every song kinda sounds identical

 

Dogleg blew me away when I saw them earlier this year and I do kind of like the record and want to love it but maybe I just need more time with it. Definitely feel the slightly mediocre review lol but maybe that'll change.

As much as I've hated Hot Mulligan in the past, the new record in undeniably a banger.

Going to have to give Carpool another listen

 

We should do an aggregate of the top emo records of 2020 in here, that would be fun. I know that's happening in the hip hop thread now.

I probably would have loved the Dogleg record if it dropped in 2013/14. It’s fine I guess, but it’s just not the type of music I gravitate toward anymore. Don’t really think I’ve been excited an emo record since Donovan Wolfington or Fiddlehead, maybe Camp Cope if that counts.

 

Yeah me too, just couldn’t get it to click. I feel like they’re one of those bands it would help to see live in order to ‘get’ it
