idk if this has been posted here yet but I was rolling.

 

Everyone should list their favorite fall emo records (obvious or not!) so that I (and everyone else..I guess) can find some new stuff to listen to! There's only so many times I can play The Early November and American Football

I just listened to Designing a Nervous Breakdown for the first time this week and lost my damn mind at how great it was and I will probably be wearing it out this fall. also revisited new pocket by runaway brother and it’s not only even better than I remembered, but it’s also v fitting for the feeling of the changing seasons

@OotyPa great call on Pompeii and outsmarting Simon. two of my favs. I've always considered yolk in the fur and twelve years to be summer nights albums tho, interestingly

 

The first time I listened to Yolk was driving through a snowstorm, so that's what I associate with the record.

 

Yolk is a transition season (spring or fall) record for me. Really, it's best while driving in the mountains or deep in nature.

Glad I'm not the only human on earth left who still listens to Pompeii / knows who Outsmarting Simon is.

I associate the 2012 Everyone Everywhere record with fall, big time

 

I wasn't sold on this Outsmarting Simon tape until 05.04.68. This song rules

 

Their album Stand Up Straight might be better but impossible to find anywhere besides a couple songs on YouTube.
