Sweeeeet. Thanks for compiling. Btw, I checked out Proper. a while ago cause I remember Jake W hyping them up. Their album I Spent the Winter... is amazing.
Anything coming out this week? I don’t seem to have much on my list to check out other than the Coriky (ex-Fugazi) LP
check it out y'all. fuzzy pschedelic shit, super diverse. ranges from lofi disco to indie-emo to dreampop.
this isn't emo exactly but it's coming out on topshelf and these songs are really great Thanya Iyer — "Please Don't Hold Me Hostage for Who I am, Who I Was"
Recently threw on Grandview’s Between Paint and a Wall today and forgot how Great it an album it is. Anyone have any recs for similar bands?
tbh i get the sentitment, but the entire point of the classic album hiphop album threads came from majority of peeps on this site being way to narrow minded with what they listen to/ignoring anything other than pop punk, and responding with "we need more threads celebrating 4 white dudes in a pop punk band" just aint it.
I would love a thread for classics of other genres but yeah it's pretty clear that it would lead to arguments with people about things like why B**** N** albums should be spotlighted despite everything that's happened because of "separate the art from the artist" etc. etc. Better to just not even go there.
christ almighty do you know how long I've been waiting to hear a riff like that followed up with actual vocals and harmonies and not some dude yelling off key
all of topshelf's discount codes are quotes from starfox or mother 2/3 in-game dialog. just here to say that you need to stop sleeping on shormey. also, boogie island rules hell yeah, thanks! watch her visual album:
