This came up on spotify after listening to empty country. That’s a pretty good RIYL imo, and it came out on saddle creek, which is also a pretty fitting way to describe the sound. Think people here would dig

 

like this! kinda fits the mold of what I'm calling 'slacker whatever' - stuff like peaer, half thoughts, same, clique, etc.

I miss Clique so much. Their social media accounts indicate that they were recording in late 2017. Hope those surface eventually

I can almost guarantee you that they won’t. Sorry. Best case is that they’ll be reworked as En Route or Half Thought songs

 

this was my favorite album I'd heard this year before empty country came out. I didn't connect them before but it does make me think EC could've been a tight saddle creek band cause the album sounds like the Good Life in a lot of places

 

Found out Belmont put out an EP in March (more punk than emo though)
