New Diners album coming come get hype in the thread! Diners - Leisure World (April 24, 2020) • forum.chorus.fm
been jamming the old crisman tape/album in prep for new one (cause i wanna avoid the singles) and have fallen deep inlove with their old stuff. Cant wait for that album
I noticed that this forum holds that opinion, which is definitely cool for the band if that is the general opinion, but I found that album incredibly boring sadly. They seem to have lost a ton of momentum too.
ya i can agree on that. TBH though it feels with the "scene" right now, if your not screaming about a bunch of memes the kids just aint gonna fuck with ya. Theres a lot of bands who had all the hyper a couple years back who have fallen into obscurity this past year (perspective... for example had literally ZERO hype for what was easily their best material)
If there is anything this scene has taught me, its that emo kids HATE when a band progresses into a more "mature" sound
yeah, all for the posi thing and the memes and ~community~ and whatnot but it also seems any time a band in this scene grapples w anything different or provides less than all that it's either pigeonholed as regressive sad shit online or just met w indifference. and, personal gripe, it's a massive bummer the sound of this sunnier wave of bands is almost always pop punk lol
