I like "Keep What You Have Built Up Here" as the EE pick although I don't really think it's the most representative of their sound
Even with my minor disagreements it’s still a cool thing to read - can’t imagine the under taking of an almost impossible list to make - well done
theres a spotify playlist of all the songs if anyone cares. brb just gonna be sunk in nostalgia the rest of the day The 100 Best Emo Songs, a playlist by Ray Rahman on Spotify
this list was narrowed down from a long list compiled from all of our personal lists, so there's bound to be both forgotten songs and odd inclusions (i personally don't think hop along should be on an emo list but also who cares lol)
the list is overall so good and thorough that it's hard to be mad that taking back sunday is on it twice
lol I was thinking the same thing. listening to the playlist now and forgot how much I do not enjoy coheed.
the list is good I'm mostly being a hater, also loved the acknowledgement that cloud nothings is emo bc the most recent album sounds like the third wave stuff sometimes. v happy to see a lot of the stuff that doesn't really get talked about w the revival stuff much. jets to brazil, orchid, Indian summer. made me miss half cloth :(
This is the most I've ever agreed with a list like this I'm pretty sure. Only two songs on there I don't particularly like at all, and I'll echo that while hop along is great I'd never call them emo
If Sugar We’re Going Down is gonna be on here, so should Came Out Swinging. Those are my thoughts. Good list though! It’s a very nice playlist for my everyday activities.
